Care instructions for Yoga Mat

General Care
Regular Maintenance: Shake out your yoga mat regularly to remove any loose dirt or debris.
Spot Cleaning: For small stains, use a damp cloth with mild, organic soap. Gently dab the affected area and avoid soaking the mat.

Deep Cleaning
1. Preparation:
Fill a bathtub or large basin with lukewarm water.
Add a small amount of mild, organic detergent.

2. Washing:
Submerge the mat and gently agitate it in the water.
Focus on areas with visible dirt or stains, gently scrubbing them with a soft brush or cloth.

3. Rinsing:
Drain the soapy water and refill the tub with clean, lukewarm water.
Rinse the mat thoroughly to ensure all soap residue is removed.

4. Drying:
Lay the mat flat on a clean, dry towel.
Roll the mat and towel together to squeeze out excess water.
Unroll and hang the mat to air dry completely in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.

Special Care for Stitching
Stitch Maintenance: Inspect the vertical and horizontal stitches regularly. If you notice any loose threads or fraying, trim them carefully to prevent further damage.
Avoid Stretching: Do not overstretch the mat, especially at the stitched areas, to maintain the integrity of the 3x3 inches square pattern.

Storage
Roll Properly: Always roll the mat loosely to avoid creasing or stressing the stitches.
Dry Before Storage: Ensure the mat is completely dry before rolling and storing it to prevent mold or mildew growth.
Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Keep your mat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Additional Tips
Avoid Chemical Cleaners: Do not use harsh chemicals or bleach, as they can damage the organic cotton fabric and kapok filling.
Mat Usage: Use the mat on clean, dry surfaces to extend its lifespan and maintain hygiene.

Following these care instructions will help ensure your Sattvasan yoga mat remains in excellent condition, providing you with a comfortable and supportive practice surface for years to come.
